Halima Fredrick Mashaka, born in 1998, is the Rungemba CDTI Alumni of the Month for April 2025. She began her educational journey by attending both primary and secondary school before pursuing her passion for community development. In 2021, she enrolled at Rungemba Community Development Training Institute (CDTI), where she successfully completed both a certificate and diploma in community development by 2024. Her time at Rungemba CDTI was marked by strong leadership and a commitment to social causes.
During her time at the institution, Halima served as the president of the Rungemba CDTI Students Organization (2022–2024). Her leadership was instrumental in organizing various student-centered initiatives that fostered a culture of engagement and mutual support. Under her presidency, the student body enjoyed enhanced collaboration and community projects that extended beyond the classroom, reinforcing the institute’s role in shaping socially responsible citizens.
Halima’s passion for walking for social balance reflects her dedication to community well-being. She has worked with PSB Foundation, applying her skills and knowledge to real-world community development projects. Her commitment to creating a positive social impact has made her a role model for her peers and the wider community.
